NFL free agent linebacker Anthony Barr had his home ransacked and burglarized this week in Los Angeles. On the bright side, no one was hurt and Barr was not at home at the time of the break-in. Home security footage revealed the break-in occurred around 2 a.

m., according to TMZ . Three men smashed a window at the rear of the house and proceeded to enter.

Police arrived at the scene quickly but the thieves were already gone. It’s unclear, so far, what the burglars took from the home. The situation is now under investigation.

Barr, who starred for the UCLA Bruins in college, is just the latest high-profile Los Angeles resident to deal with a break-in. This spring, former Celtics star Paul Pierce experienced a similar situation with more than $100,000 stolen from his LA home, along with luxury watches and a safe. The veteran linebacker played the 2022 season with the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year deal worth $2 million but his contract ran out last March, making him a free agent.

As a free agent, he was free to re-sign with the Minnesota Vikings when they came calling in November.
