HOLLAND PATENT — The Foothills Rural Community Ministry’s food pantry is hosting a Community Fun Day on Saturday, Aug. 24, in the Holland Patent village park across from the First Presbyterian Church. The event will run from 10 a.

m. to 3 p.m.

, rain or shine. Kids of all ages are invited to participate in sack races, crafts, a bike repair clinic, a toy pig race game, bounce house, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, mobile book library, hoverball archery, and a small animal petting zoo. There will be live music from noon to 3 p.

m. Pig roast dinners will be for sale starting at noon until gone. There will also be a homemade pie sale and a cornhole tournament.

All proceeds will benefit the Foothills Rural Community Ministry’s (FRCM) food pantry. Its mission, since 1985, is to respond with care and concern to rural persons and families in need by providing information, assistance, support, and to build a sense of community through our activities..
