RHAYADER’S deep connection to nature has been immortalised in the form of the town’s football club collaborating with a local business to create a limited edition third kit – which has been designed by a seven-year-old. The rolling hills of the Cambrian Mountains, vast waterways of the Elan Valley and Rhayader’s self-proclaimed title as ‘the Outdoors Capital of Wales’ have all been woven together to combine a striking third kit for Rhayader Town Football Club, which has been designed by Arthur Jones. Young Arthur gained national fame in recent years as the star behind the heartwarming, home-made .

The shop announced this week that the strip – predominantly white, featuring yellow triangles, representing the surrounding hills; green-vein like lines representing rivers; and a jolt of red arrowing diagonally from top to bottom marking the red Rhayader Town play in – is available for pre-order, with proceeds from sales going to support Rhayader Junior Football Club. A description of the kit reads: “Rhayader Football Club's new commemorative third kit celebrates the breathtaking landscapes that define the region, showcasing the rolling hills, picturesque watercourses and the serene rivers of the Cambrian Mountains. “This vibrant design not only honours Rhayader’s rich natural heritage but also emphasises its status as the outdoors capital of Wales, inviting fans and players alike to embrace the beauty of their surroundings.

“The kit serves as a proud remind.
