A five-time winner on the WTA Tour, the Belgian bows out after a 14-year career which featured a quarter-final appearance at the French Open in 2015. Van Uytvanck boasts victories at the Tournoi de Quebec, Uzbekistan's Tashkent Open, the Astana Open in Kazakhstan and two triumphs at the Hungarian Ladies Open.

She also reached the fourth round of Wimbledon in 2018 - the year she reached her peak women's singles ranking of 37. The 30-year-old spent most of last year sidelined due to a back injury and results in 2024 have been broadly underwhelming. Van Uytvanck issued a heartfelt statement on X to announce that she is walking away from the sport.
