Manchester United were resoundingly beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth in the . Ruben Amorim's side were embarrassed by the Cherries, who moved up to fifth in the table following their rampant display at Old Trafford. A header from Dean Hujisen in the first half put Andoni Iraola's side 1-0 up heading into the break, with second half strikes from Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo wrapping things up for the Cherries.

United deserved nothing from the game and were second best for the entire match. Bournemouth created better chances, offered more going forward and defensively looked a class above a United side who looked to be lacking in confidence. It was the second defeat this week for United, who fell 4-3 to Tottenham in midweek in the Carabao Cup.

Put simply, Amorim has to get to grips with why United are conceding so many goals from set-pieces. Teams head into games knowing they are so poor defensively at set-piece time they can punish United with one good delivery.
