Friday, November 15, 2024 FiturNext 2025 celebrates top initiatives in sustainable food management, honoring projects that reduce waste and support local producers in the tourism sector. FiturNext, the FITUR observatory dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism practices, has unveiled the winners of its 2025 Challenge, centered on sustainable food management in tourism. In collaboration with Aqualia, a prominent water management company, FiturNext has recognized three exceptional initiatives: the Sustainable Gastronomic Routes of Extremadura, Hurtigruten Cruises’ circular food system, and the Too Good To Go app.

These winners highlight innovative solutions in various sectors, from destinations and transportation to food services, setting new benchmarks for sustainable practices in tourism. The awards ceremony will take place on January 22, 2025, during the Madrid International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR), an event expected to attract industry leaders and stakeholders from across the globe. A key focus of the FiturNext Observatory is to assess the impact and scalability of initiatives that promote sustainability in tourism.
