Friday, November 8, 2024 Finnair is upgrading its Embraer cabins to boost comfort on short routes, aiming to renew all 12 aircraft by spring 2026, with the first upgrade now complete. Finnair is upgrading the cabins in its Embraer fleet to enhance passenger comfort on shorter routes. The first cabin refurbishment has now been completed, with plans to modernize all 12 Embraer aircraft by spring 2026.

Seven aircraft are scheduled for upgrades during the winter season of 2024–2025, and the rest will undergo renovations in the winter season of 2025–2026. Finnair’s Embraer fleet operates across numerous routes within Finland and throughout Europe, focusing particularly on shorter connections in Northern and Central Europe. The refreshed cabin interiors are styled to align seamlessly with Finnair’s recently renovated wide-body aircraft and the airline’s new Schengen lounge at Helsinki Airport, creating a consistent ambiance throughout the travel experience.

“We wanted to create a harmonious, fresh and inviting travel environment for our customers, with dark blue and grey colours and a hint of wooden laminate – elements familiar from our long-haul aircraft,” says Eerika Enne, Head of Inflight Customer Experience . “The renewed cabin will feature two new seats. The seats on rows 1– 9 offer a bit of additional comfort thanks to its design and cushioning.
