According to a recent press release, Fincantieri has partnered with Italy’s Hera Group to enhance waste management in its shipyards. The partnership will result in the formation of a new company jointly owned by Fincantieri and Hera Group .
This collaboration will be facilitated through their subsidiaries, Herambiente Servizi Industriali (HASI) and ACR di Reggiani Albertino S.p.A.

The new entity will introduce a comprehensive waste management system, beginning at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone site, with future plans to extend its reach to other shipyards in Italy and possibly abroad. This system will oversee plant operations, waste disposal, and the optimization of residues and recyclable materials.
The initiative’s goal is to boost waste recovery, minimize waste production, and advance sustainability by applying circular economy principles, utilizing Hera Group’s proficiency in waste management and sustainable practices.
