Fiat has stopped bringing petrol-powered cars to Australia, dropping the ageing 500 from its lineup which now consists of light commercial vehicles and an electric hatch. Following a report by Autocar that the Fiat 500 and its performance Abarth 595 / 695 siblings had been removed from sale in the UK, a spokesperson for Stellantis Australia told CarExpert “we are no longer bringing in petrol”. This means the electric Fiat 500e , which is priced from $52,500 before on-road costs, is its only new car in showrooms, sold alongside the Ducato turbo-diesel van.
