A charity fashion show has raised more than £2,000 for four charities. The event, organised by local personal stylist Sarah Sullivan, took place on Tuesday, September 26, at The Brooks Shopping Centre as part of Winchester's Green Week. The show featured six volunteer models from the local community, who showcased 24 second-hand outfits.
The clothes were sourced from four of Winchester's charity shops: The Dogs Trust, Naomi House, Oxfam, and the British Heart Foundation. The aim of the event was to encourage people to shop second-hand and highlight the quality items available in local charity shops. Following the fashion show, a pre-loved clothing sale was held, with all proceeds going to the involved charities.
The event raised more than £2,000 in total. Winchester University students studying fashion and business helped backstage, while DJ Graham D'eath provided the catwalk soundtrack. Make-up artist Lisa Virgo prepared the models for the runway.
