VARANASI: To empower the differently-abled and integrate them into the mainstream of the nation, Anmol Seva Samiti and Divya Samaj Varanasi organised an international fashion show for the differently-abled at Babatpur on Sunday. A large number of differently-abled men and women participated in the fashion show, walking the ramp in fancy dresses, which left the audience not only astonished but also applauding in support and encouragement. The best awards for Fashion Show 2024 went to Rajesh from Gwalior and Deepti Bhatnagar among women.

Nearly 70 differently-abled participants from across the country took part. The judging panel included Shweta Tiwari, Pragya Pandey, Deepa Mukherjee, Neha Singh, and Pooja Singh. The chief guest of the event, international para shooter Sumedha Pathak , stated that if given opportunities, the differently-abled can outperform the general population in every field.

Presiding over the event, Swami Kripanand Ji Maharaj said that India has a strong history of differently-abled individuals. On this occasion, differently-abled advocate Uttam Ojha said that the first right to the country's resources belongs to the differently-abled, and if provided with resources, they can play a crucial role in the nation's progress. The event also featured performances by children from Kiran Society, Deva Center, Parivartan, Samakalan Divyang Sansthan, Prem Jyoti, Jeevan Jyoti, Mani Memorial Society, Jan Vikas Samiti, Nav Vani, and Hanuman Prasad Poddar Blind School.
