The NSW-based sheep farmer, 43, claimed Claire, 37, broke up with him over text message following a serious conversation they had about their upcoming wedding. 'Claire had a stay in Tasmania and when she arrived back at the farm, she suggested we talk about the wedding – she asked me how I was feeling,' Andrew told Woman's Day .

Andrew said he told Claire he was feeling a bit nervous ahead of their big day, which prompted her to call off the wedding altogether. 'I expressed some doubts about getting married. The next day Claire texted me saying she'd cancelled the wedding, and she'd already informed family and friends.

' He admitted he was blindsided by Claire's decision to call things off as he thought they were taking the right steps to work through their relationship challenges. 'When I got back, Claire was quite upset, as was I. She told me she had work to go to in Darwin, I was quite shocked.

When I left that morning, I thought things were okay.' Andrew added they realised they were incompatibl.
