Police arrested a family driver for stealing and selling his employer’s luxury vehicle for P2 million. The police authorities have successfully recovered a luxury vehicle, valued at nearly P5 million, that a family driver stole from his employers. The vehicle was sold for only P2 million, and the documentation for transferring ownership was already in progress.

The investigation conducted by the PNP-Highway Patrol Group (HPG) Task Force Limbas revealed that the family driver, along with an accomplice, took the car from their employer in Pasay City. According to Police Colonel Joel Casupanan of the PNP-HPG TF Limbas, they were able to track the vehicle when a red flag was raised during the ownership transfer process. The authorities intercepted a liaison involved in the buy-and-sell of cars, who was attempting to transfer the vehicle’s ownership at the Land Transportation Office (LTO).

“Most of the time, ang nangyayari po, kapag may ganitong magagandang sasakyan, ibinebenta agad ‘yan at naita-transfer,” said Casupanan. “ Na-trace natin, nag-red flag, ililipat na sa ibang pagmamay-ari. So doon na natin na-intercept yung isang liason na buy and sell car, na ita-transfer supossedly yung sasakyan, ” he added.

The man processing the documents was arrested during the operation, as he was believed to be part of an organized group involved in such illegal activities. The buyer of the stolen vehicle voluntarily surrendered the car to the authorities and is currently under.
