The much-loved drama, All Creatures Great and Small, is set to return to Channel 5 for its fifth season. The series, which is also available on Netflix, is based on the writings of Alf Wight, better known as James Herriot, and explores his real-life experiences as a vet in Yorkshire. In the Channel 5 adaptation, Nicholas Ralph portrays the enthusiastic vet, James Herriot.

He works under Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West), the quirky owner of Skeldale House veterinary practice. Recognising James' passion and potential, Siegfried offers him part-ownership of the practice. The series was shot in the Yorkshire Dales, often around Nidderdale, with the village of Grassington in Upper Wharfedale used as the fictional village of Darrowby.

Rooms within the Askrigg building can be rented out, with the website listing the location as "The Original Filming Location o.
