This Independence Day will see the release of as many as three films – Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor’s horror comedy Stree 2 , John Abraham-Sharvari’s mass action entertainer Vedaa and Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy Khel Khel Mein . It’s a rare phenomenon as there has been a clash between 2 big films several times. But a clash of 3 significant movies hasn’t happened in ages.

Madhur Bhandarkar exclusively spoke to Bollywood Hungama on the 25th anniversary of his debut film Trishakti (1999) and he opened up on the present-day trends of the industry.
