An independent Exeter barbers renowned as much for its hidden away location as it is for regularly welcoming Exeter Chiefs players through its doors has stepped into the spotlight after moving to bigger premises. The Execlusive Barber Club was previously tucked away in a small brick building in Sivell Place next to car garage Heavitree Auto Repairs. Staying true to its Heavitree roots, this week it reopened around the corner in Church Street after renovating a former long-established electrical shop.

It has doubled its number of barber chairs from two to four and has created a New York-style themed experience for its clients. The Grade II building has sympathetically been converted so that the beamed ceiling is still exposed but is now highlighted with modern hexagonal lighting. The grey and black colour scheme is a world apart from the previous interior when it was occupied by E.
