Jen Jen Gomez served 10 years behind bars and has since turned her life around. Now she posts to TikTok to share tales of her criminal life and what her experience was like in prison, with the aim of stopping others from becoming victims or perpetrators of crime.
In a video that recently resurfaced several years after it first went viral, Gomez revealed the "mental checklist" she would run through before breaking into a property, hoping to deter homeowners from becoming potential targets. "The first thing I would do is check the weather ," she said. "If it's bright, beautiful, sunny, I really tried to find places that are more isolated, more desolate, where the houses are further apart, because people are outside.
