East West University (EWU) successfully organized an orientation program for its newly admitted students on Thursday (October 17). Over 2,700 students were welcomed to the university's Aftabnagar campus, beginning their academic journey in undergraduate and graduate programs across 13 departments. The orientation aimed to provide a seamless transition for the new students, familiarizing them with the university's facilities, faculty members, academic systems, and rules and regulations.

Each department organized individual programs to cater to the specific needs of their incoming students. Distinguished guests, including Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser and Founder Vice Chancellor of EWU, Professor Dr.

Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer, Deans, Chairpersons of academic departments, and successful EWU alumni, graced the occasion.

In their addresses, the speakers extended a warm welcome to the freshers and encouraged them to strive for excellence and become future leaders of Bangladesh. Beyond academic pursuits, they urged the students to make the most of the university's resources, such as clubs, libraries, and research laboratories, to develop human qualities and innovative abilities. EWU's orientation program laid a strong foundation for the new students' academic careers, setting the stage for a successful and enriching learning experience.
