That series was incredible, mixing some really fun and engrossing writing with beautiful visuals to tell a range of stories.
It’s also a really fun way to go about exploring video games in another medium, and it’s really nice to see a continued return of anthology shows. Why your favorite game isn’t in the series I have seen a lot of people talking about games that are not in the series as if the involvement of any particular IP is a given. I am certain that the creators had a long list of games that they were interested in, and I am also certain that legal complexities would have knocked quite a few of them out of the running.
Quite simply, it can take years to sort out this kind of stuff, as we are sometimes looking at IPs that are worth hundreds of millions, and they need to protect themselves, as the damage associated with a poor product is something that executives.
