“3 Body Problem” actress Eve Ridley has scored the key role of Ruthye Mary Knolle in Craig Gillespie’s “Supergirl” film at DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures. “House of the Dragon” star Milly Alcock is set to play Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in the project with filming slated to begin in January in the UK.

Casting for supporting roles is underway. Based on Tom King’s 2021 “Woman of Tomorrow” comic, it sees Supergirl traveling across the galaxy to celebrate her 21st birthday with Krypto the Superdog. Along the way, she meets a young noble and honorable warrior named Ruthye (Ridley).

Matthias Schoenaerts will play the villain Krem of the Yellow Hills – a skilled and ruthless swordsman and archer who killed Ruthye’s father in cold blood and injures Krypto. The two women travel across the galaxy to hunt Krem. Actress and playwright Ana Nogueira is penning the script.

The new “Supergirl” will be the second DCU movie to release in theaters, arriving on June 26th 2026 – a full year after James Gunn’s “Superman” releases in July 2025. Source:.
