It has been 10 years since the first John Wick film, starring Keanu Reeves hit theatres, going on to earn the franchise over $1 billion dollars across four movies. However, it turns out that none of this iconic success would have had been possible if it were not for one 'desperate housewife'. In an interaction with Business Insider, directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch revealed that Eva Longoria put up $6 million with less than 24 hours to go before filming in order to close an unprecedented gap in the funding for the film.

To help secure financing, CAA offered some actors a chance to invest in the film as a last-ditch effort.
