The pharmacists under the aegis of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter, said establishing a coordinated whole centre in the state would address the menace of drug abuse, buying and selling fake and expired drugs. The pharmacists spoke at an event in Lagos on Wednesday to commemorate the 2024 World Pharmacists Day with the theme, “Pharmacists: Meeting global health needs.

” World Pharmacists Day observed annually on September 25 is organised by the International Pharmaceutical Federation to recognise and celebrate the crucial role that pharmacists play in building healthier communities everywhere. This year’s theme highlighted the invaluable contributions of pharmacists as essential members of healthcare systems, emphasising their crucial role in addressing health needs within every community.
