It's not every day that a prominent sports personality has choice words for a game his network is airing, but that's precisely what happened to Michigan legend Desmond Howard when he and the College Gameday crew previewed a nightcap Big 12 game between Kansas State and Arizona State last Saturday. Howard went on an unprecedented rant, suggesting the game wasn't significant enough to get air time and make a prediction. These comments stunned many in the college football community, including one fan who took to ' X ' in a now-viral tweet to express concern.

"Why are we picking this game? I thought it was a mistake," Howard asked. The fan, known as "Big Ten information. College football fan," had detailed commentary to do his best to encapsulate Howard's remarks.

He mentioned that ESPN is partially the reason to blame, making it the fans' responsibility to push back and speak out against potentially biased coverage. "We can't continue to go down the path of the media saying what teams and games are of value and what games and teams are not of value and letting media create propaganda and narratives of who belongs in the playoff and who doesn't," he wrote. "We created the 12-team playoff to provide wider access across the country, not for one conference to behave in a manipulative fashion to push others aside so they can get their own teams into the playoff.

ESPN employees, along with some SEC media folks and a few national journalists, are one of the biggest problems in college .
