A couple found themselves at odds during the latest episode of Escape to the Country, as they disagreed over a beautiful thatched property. On Wednesday's episode (August 7), Stephanie and Ollie were on a quest to find their dream home in the English countryside. Having lived in London for a considerable period, the pair were eager to relocate to Wiltshire.

The duo were seeking a "complete lifestyle change" and a slower pace of life. However, when presenter Ginny Buckley showed them a property, the enthusiastic couple found themselves divided prompting Ginny to offer some advice. Standing outside the house, it was evident that Stephanie wasn't taken with the property.

But Ollie had a different view, saying: "I like thatches, nothing wrong with thatches, as long as they are looked after and well kept. I think they're great!" When questioned about her thoughts on thatched roofs, Stephanie admitted: "I don't really know much about them I'll be honest. But I like the look of it, it's lovely," reports the Mirror .

However, Ginny observed that Stephanie's feelings didn't shift significantly even when inside the house. She remarked: "I'm not convinced, I don't know. It's just not quite warm and homely.

That's the vibe I'm getting." Ginny suggested: "So I guess what you should perhaps do is go off and explore yourself. She added: "Have a wander, keep that open mind.
