Escape to the Country: House hunters overwhelmed by property Kevan and Lizzie wanted to find their dream home on Escape to the Country (Image: BBC) Escape to the Country graced our screens for a fresh episode on Monday (July 22) with presenter Briony May Williams set on a mission to locate an idyllic home in another country for a couple. Kevan and Lizzie, hailing from Holywood in County Down, sought their dream tranquil abode in Herefordshire to stay closer to their kin. Though residing just a handful of miles from Belfast, the couple craved to relocate from Northern Ireland back to the lush English countryside post-retirement.

However, one property left them utterly astounded. Briony took Kevan and Lizzie on a tour around a picture-perfect house available for sale in Withington Marsh. This exquisite 18th-century stone cottage had extensions transforming it into a wonderfully spacious dwelling, retaining original features such as a rustic fireplace and stone walls.

The kitchen and dining space opened up to a beautifully adorned garden where mature shrubs encircled a meticulously maintained green lawn embellished with fruit trees. Additional features included a driveway accommodating several vehicles, a cozy al fresco dining area, and adjunct buildings featuring a garage and workshop, reports Wales Online .
