Eric Stonestreet made a sandwich on Instagram over the weekend that he promised his 2.6 million followers would be “the best sandwich you’ll ever eat.” Think bologna and cheese, but upscale.

“Beautiful. Wonderful,” he said. “Then take the best lunch meat known to mankind, mortadella, and lay it on like little ribbons or pillows of meat goodness.

” He laid five, no six, slices of the sausage on the cheese-covered bread. Then he slathered more cheese on the other slice of bread, sprinkled it with extra virgin olive oil, added a pinch of salt and a tiny bit of calabrian chili oil for those who “like it spicy.” He smashed the two pieces of bread together.
