After The View 's November 15 episode saw New York City mayor Eric Adams sit down with the co-host for Hot Topics, body language expert Judi James shared with the Express US that it appeared like he ‘didn’t want’ to be on the show. The mayor visited the show to discuss the election of Donald Trump and his recent staff nominations. As he seemingly threw support behind Trump's recent appointment of Robert F.
Kennedy Jr. to Health and Human Services Secretary , the panel grilled him as they strongly disagreed with his reasoning. The View panel is well-known for their support of the Harris Walz ticket during the 2024 election , making this a controversial visit for the cast.
James revealed: “The way he sits with his jacket button done up, listening to his questions build with an unsmiling expression, makes it look almost as though he doesn't really want to be there.” “Then the way they all pile in when he starts to answer a question, talking over him rather than listening, suggests they might not want to listen to his answers,” she explained. James explained that his actions when asked a question, especially regarding his recent indictment , were a telling sign.
She explained Adams ‘fiddles with his mug and scratches his nose in what look like acts of distraction.’ “He then watches her with a turned head rather than turning in his seat to give signals of full attention or attempt of any form of charm offensive,” she continued.
