Working with the public all day, especially in hospitality, can be exhausting. The persnickety requests, the snide remarks, and the lack of tips can make anyone want to last out occasionally. A man who was on the receiving end of one such outburst at a café has revealed how he got sweet revenge but has been warned by others to "never return".
Taking to social media to share his story, he explained that while waiting to meet a friend at a coffee shop decided to get a bagel. He wrote: "I wasn't too hungry but wanted a quick bite. It was early, and I don’t eat too heavily in the morning so when I approached the counter I ordered my coffee and a bagel with cream cheese.
" "The barista told me the bagel was on the kid's menu, and therefore I couldn't order it. I asked for clarity, and confirmed it was a regular-size bagel, and asked her 'So you'd rather I not order anything (the other options on the menu were full breakfast meals, skillets, etc.) than give you business because of a silly rule?'.
