Photo by Ontario Provincial Police / Handout Article content An Ottawa-area driver was stopped with bags of empty beer containers insecurely strapped to the top of their vehicle and hanging out of the trunk on Highway 417. In an online post Saturday, the Ontario Provincial Police said the unidentified driver estimated the bags contained a total of 3,000 empties.

Having the insecure load netted them a fine of $160, however. In the same online post, the OPP said the driver of another vehicle stopped for having an illegally tinted front window also registered an “Alert” warning on a roadside blood-alcohol test shortly before 9 a.m.
