Last week in Emmerdale, Nate Robinson ( Jurell Carter ) suddenly left after falling out with his family and being offered a new job in Shetland. He was initially going to leave with partner Tracy ( Amy Walsh ) and their little girl Frankie, however, after crossed wires and a story that claimed Nate and Moira ( Natalie J Robb ) had kissed, he departed alone. ‘Nate wanted a relationship with Cain and to be part of the whole Dingle family’, star Jurell Carter said.

‘That’s been massive for him and he feels that he’s got everything together. He’s got this unit, he’s got the Dingles, he’s got Tracy, he’s got Frankie. But it feels like everything is just falling apart overnight.

It’s not what he wanted to do, but he’s been left with no choice.’ Surprisingly, after so long in the show, Nate left the Dales off-screen.

This, coupled with the barn fire at Butlers that occurred at the same time, left many fans wondering if he actually departed the village at all. Audience members of the ITV soap took to social media platform X to express the possibility of Nate being caught up in the barn fire, and no-one realising. It would’ve been a very dramatic twist but unfortunately, tonight’s episode confirmed that off-screen exit for Nate was very much real.
