Nestled in the Blue Zone of Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula on the Gulf of Papagayo, El Mangroove is set to benefit from Cappello’s extensive expertise and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, gained over two decades in the luxury hospitality industry. Cappello steps into his role at El Mangroove after a distinguished tenure as General Manager at El Silencio Lodge & Spa, a renowned Relais & Chateaux hotel in Costa Rica’s central highlands.
There, he successfully led the operations of 26 luxury suites and villas, earning praise for his leadership, commitment to excellence, and ability to create a culture focused on exceptional service and innovation. Prior to his role at El Silencio, Cappello served as Resort Manager at Nayara Springs and Nayara Spa & Gardens, two Relais & Chateaux properties located in Costa Rica’s Arenal region. His impressive background also includes notable roles as Food and Beverage Director at prestigious luxury hotels and resorts, such as Hyatt Andaz Peninsula Papagayo, Hotel La Samanna by Belmond, and Lux Belle Mare Island Resort.
