The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for the September 21 governorship election, Senator Monday Okpebholo on Tuesday outlined his five points agenda to govern Edo State, if he wins the forthcoming election. This was also as he commissioned two luxurious buses for a free transport scheme for Edo people. Okpebholo, who was speaking at the opening ceremony of the APC Campaign in Edo South at the University of Benin, Ekenwan Campus, Benin City said education, security, agriculture, employment and provision of road infrastructure will among others be his top priorities if he wins the election He said earlier before he became the senator representing Edo Central,he had been tarring roads,providing security, clean water, education support and employment to the people of Edo Central.

The former National Chairman of the party and senator representing Edo North Adams Oshiomhole assured that the governorship candidate of the party ,Senator Monday Okpebholo, will ensure good governance from November 12 this year, without Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) or wasting fund on consultancy. Oshiomhole also gave an assurance that Okpebholo would respect the Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, and other traditional rulers in Edo state. On his part a former member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Charles Idahosa, who recently defected to APC, also called for debate in Esan language between Okpebholo and the .
