Chart-topper Ed Sheeran took to his "favourite restaurant" for a swift curry before wowing fans with an impromptu appearance at a sold-out show on Sunday night. Fueled by a hearty vindaloo, the superstar reportedly extended a "kind gesture" to the establishment's employees prior to his stage performance. Last night, Ed Sheeran surprised attendees in Birmingham, gracing the stage alongside Punjabi icon Diljit Dosanjh.

Preceding the spontaneous gig, he visited his preferred eatery, Asha's, enjoying a meal with local artist Jaykae. According to the establishment's manager, it was Sheeran's third time dining there. The local lyricist and the Grammy-winning 'Shape of You' artist opted for piquant fare, pleasing Asha's boss Nouman Farooqui.

Nouman disclosed to BirminghamLive details of Sheeran's visit: "We were happy to have Ed visit for the third time. He was dining with Jaykae and they ordered spicy butter chicken and a lamb vindaloo..

" Farooqui also mentioned that the pop star acclaimed Asha's as his top pick for Indian cuisine. Sheeran stopped by after his soundcheck at the Utilita Arena and before making a splash on stage with Diljit during the latter part of the concert.
