Former professional rugby player Ed Jackson shares his remarkable journey, from a horrifying injury after diving into the shallow end of a pool to scaling mountains in Nepal and the French Alps. Ed, who played for rugby teams in England and Wales, was told he would never walk again following the terrifying accident in 2017, but less than a year later he conquered Snowdon and began seeking out new challenges. He has since accomplished the impossible by climbing Himlung Himal in Nepal and the Aiguille Dibona in the French Alps, feats he never thought he'd be capable of.

Together with his supportive wife Lois, Ed established the mental health charity Millimetres 2 Mountains which assists those affected by trauma to build their community and achieve similarly impressive goals. His story is now being shared in the deeply moving documentary film The Mountain Within Me, directed by Polly Steele, which premieres in cinemas today (Friday, August 23).
