Rise Hall, located near Beverley in East Yorkshire, has been crowned as the Best Historic Venue at the Yorkshire & North East Regional finals of The Wedding Industry Awards. Rise Hall was once owned by TV property expert Sarah Beeny. Back in 2021, she and her husband saved the historic building from crumbling, with millions of TV viewers following the journey on Sarah Beeny's Restoration Nightmare.

In 2010 she teamed up with hospitality entrepreneurs Dan and Helen Gill to launch the restored Rise Hall as a wedding and events business. The Georgian listed building was eventually sold to the duo in 2019 who have made it into a huge success for the area. Helen Gill expressed her delight at winning the recent award: "We are so thrilled to have received this award, it is a wonderful testament to our team especially after the difficult few years the wedding industry have experienced.

For every happy couple we help to celebrate their wedding there are many behind the scenes working to make sure everything is perfect so it’s great that they get this recognition. "Thank you so much to all our wonderful wedding couples who took the time to vote for us. Rise Hall is a wonderful building and a part of the history of East Yorkshire.

By creating a successful wedding business at Rise Hall we hope to secure the future of this beautiful house for many years to come." The awards are unique in being the only ones in the wedding industry that are both client-voted and expert-judged at a region.
