Actress Durga Krishna has been on the rise ever since her 2022 Malayalam film Udal, written and directed by Ratheesh Reghunandan. Udal starred Indrans, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Jude Anthany Joseph and others in important roles. The film received accolades from the critics and the audience.

Krishna however, feels that in Udal, her character Shyni didn’t receive enough recognition. In an interview with a portal, she called Udal one of the most important films of her acting career. She said that her character received praise and criticism as well from the viewers.

Krishna added that she had selected Shyni’s role due to her love for the character. The actress also talked about trolling she had to face sometimes in her acting career. According to Krishna, praise and trolling on social media don’t bother her much.

She recalled facing trolling on her family as well but now, it has stopped. Krishna also faced scathing criticism for performing intimate sequences in this film. She had talked about these critiques in a press conference.

According to her, “People inside the movie know that this is for that movie. We do not demand this scene for pleasure. That’s for the cinema.

That’s what it does. With the release of the ‘Udal’ teaser, I received messages from many angles. Many wanted to know if I was the one who acted in the intimate scenes.

But with the release of the film, people are not talking about those scenes, they are talking about the film.” Krishna is next anticipa.
