"I hope to get through this as quickly as possible" Dream Theater cancelled their scheduled show in Atlanta, Georgia last night (February 11) due to illness. The progressive metal band kicked off the North American leg of their 40th anniversary tour last Wednesday (February 7). Following gigs in Philadelphia, Raleigh and Nashville, they were due to perform at the Coca-Cola Roxy venue in Atlanta yesterday.
However, the group shared a statement on social to confirm that the concert would not be going ahead as planned. “We regret to inform you that tonight’s show in Atlanta has been cancelled due to illness,” the message began. “Here’s a message from @jameslabrie .
” The frontman told fans: “To everyone attending tonight’s show in Atlanta I sincerely apologise for having to cancel the show tonight due to being sick. “I hope to get through this as quickly as possible and resume putting on amazing shows throughout the remaining NA dates. Thank you and see you soon.
