If you're going for all the Dragon's Dogma 2 achievements , you'll want to make sure you're not playing Dragon's Dogma 2's new casual mode , which has just been introduced in the Xbox RPG via a new title update. While the new title update introduces a bunch of new features and adjustments, the main highlight here is, of course, casual mode. This new mode, which you can switch to at any point during your playthrough, makes the game significantly easier by reducing inn fees, reducing the price of Ferrystones, increasing the amount of weight carried before you reach a 'Heavy' or 'Very Heavy' state, reducing the amount of stamina used when dashing outside of battle, and changing the Loss gauge so it does not increase when selecting 'Load from last save' after the main character dies.

Interestingly, the game's controversial Dragonsplage mechanic is also nerfed when using this mode, and pawns afflicted with the disease will recover "without a devastating calamity occurring." If you were hoping to use casual mode and nab the 1,000G from Dragon's Dogma 2, unfortunately, Capcom notes that this mode disables two achievements. The developer hasn't said what these two achievements are, but one of them is the platinum-style achievement, The True Arisen .

Elsewhere in the update, Capcom has added a new Portcrystal to Bakbattahl, introduced new animations for both Pawns and the Arisen, and much more. You can view the patch notes below. Dragon's Dogma 2 September 17 Title Update patch notes .
