Detox is coming out. While performing at the DNC (Drag Night Chicago) on Wednesday night (August 21), the 39-year-old RuPaul’s Drag Race alum came out as transgender. Detox was up on stage performing her parody song “Chow Down (at Chick-fil-A)” alongside Willam Belli and at one point, Detox switched up the lyrics to share her announcement.

While Detox usually sings “I’m a top,” she changed up the lyrics and proclaimed “I’m trans now,” Pink News reported. Fans also noticed that Detox ‘s pronouns on Instagram are “she/they.” Detox first appeared on season five of RuPaul’s Drag Race where she came in fourth place.
She then returned for season 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars where she placed second. Last month, another Drag Race star also came out as trans ..
