Dr Michael Mosley is set to star in his last documentary which was filmed in the weeks before his shock death on holiday. The broadcaster and columnist, 67, went missing in June while on a walk on Symi, part of the Dodecanese island chain. His body was found four days later in a rocky area.

Now, the popular presenter is set to star in a final documentary made before his tragic death, which will look at the human body and truths behind new technology . In the three part Channel 5, Dr Mosley put his own body under the microscope and had a look at why people age and bones break, among other mysteries. The programme, titled ' Michael Mosley : Wonders Of The Human Body', which saw him travel around the UK, is due to air on Channel 5 later this month.

Dr Mosley, a GP and cookery book author, will appear in her late husband's posthumous documentary Greek authorities determined he died of natural causes but an inquest has been arranged for the UK later this year. Buckinghamshire's coroner has scheduled the inquest for 2pm on November 14, noting Dr Mosley passed away on June 5 in Greece and resided in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. His wife, Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, confirmed on June 9 her husband's body was discovered near Agia Marina in Symi.

She revealed the father of four seemed to have embarked on an "incredible climb, took the wrong route and collapsed where he couldn't be easily seen" by emergency search teams after he disappeared following a day at Agios Nikolaos beach with her.
