Dornoch fashion boutique Becca Mac is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a fundraising fashion show. The event at Dornoch Station Hotel ballroom next Friday, October 11, is in aid of Mikeysline, which provides mental health and suicide prevention services across the Highlands and Moray. Becca Mac was founded by mother and daughter team and fashion enthusiasts Catherine and Rebecca Mackay, who oversaw the transformation of the former legal premises at West Deanery, Castle Street into a modern fashion store.

A post on the business’s social media site said: “We can’t thank every single person who has supported us over the years enough. “You’ve helped make our dreams become a reality and we absolutely love our wee business and the community we’ve built. To celebrate, we’ve decided to host our biggest event yet.

” The theme of the fashion show is ‘inclusivity and ways to feel good about yourself’. A call was put out on call on social media for eight models of different ages and sizes to walk the catwalk, showcasing clothes available in the store. But the main aim is to raise awareness of and funding for Mikeysline and representatives from the charity will be at the fashion show to give a presentation about its work.

Mikesyline was founded in 2015 following the deaths of Michael “Mikey” Williamson and Martin Shaw, two friends who died within days of each other. The charity offers support to people of all ages through text-based and face- to-face services..
