24billion and counting). The €225million poured down the drain on Metro and Dart projects that will NEVER be built. €9million on secure phone pouches for primary school kids — and not a red cent to address the chronic shortage of teachers in our classrooms.
Just a flavour of the incompetence that is the hallmark not just of this government, but every government ever elected in Irish history. Do you really expect anything other than squander when we perpetually elect parish pump no-marks to office ? We need engineers, architects, economists, historians, builders and scientists in power; those with the wherewithal to get things done and spend money wisely. Instead we have teachers, lawyers, shopkeepers and sons and daughters of former TDs? Not to denigrate teachers, lawyers (well.
..) and shopkeepers who aren’t TDs.
We get what we deserve until we decide to vote for people of greater calibre. Shambles upon shambles. Oblivious to past mistakes when it comes to spending YOUR money, the gover.
