The American star, 40, had a month remaining on his tour of North America , with the next scheduled show being in Austin, Texas on Tuesday. He was then due to travel through the West Coast and Midwest before concluding the leg in Chicago on October 3.
However, the rapper has now announced that the shows will no longer be going ahead as he focuses on his health . Taking to X with a statement, the This Is America hitmaker wrote today, one day before his next concert: ‘Hey everyone. Unfortunately, I have to postpone the rest of the North American tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks.
‘Hold onto your tickets. ALL tickets will be honoured for the upcoming dates in North America when they are rescheduled.’ He concluded: ‘Thanks for the privacy.
Thanks for the support. Thanks for the love.’ Glover did not offer any additional information about the nature of his health woes.
His message comes after a statement from his team was put out yesterday, announcing that last night’s show had also been scrapped. It read: ‘Tonight’s Childish Gambino performance at the Toyota Centre in Houston is postponed due to illness. ‘Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets.
