A new biopic about the late Anthony Bourdain is in the works. On Monday (August 12), it was revealed production company Star Thrower Entertainment is working on the biopic titled Tony and that up and coming star Dominic Sessa is in talks to portray the celebrity chef, travel documentarian, and author. The Tony script is currently be written by Lou Howe and Todd Bartels . As of right now, it’s unclear what period of Bourdain ‘s life the biopic will cover. Bourdain , who hosted shows including No Reservations and Parts Unknown , died in 2018 by suicide.
He was 61-years-old. Dominic ‘s, 21, big breakout role was in 2023′s coming-of-age film The Holdovers . The role won him the Best Breakthrough Performance award at the 2024 Independent Spirit Awards and Best Young Performer at the 2024 Critics’ Choice Awards .
