There are few drivers better qualified to run the rule over Mount Panorama’s greatest races than one of the greatest to have ever summited the mountain. Five-time champion Skaife is a six-time Bathurst 1000 winner, equal with Larry Perkins and behind only Peter Brock, Jim Richards and Craig Lowndes, putting him in elite company.
His selection process is a blend of perennial greats and personal favourites. “I ended up going with five that were a mixture,” he tells Fox Sports. “Obviously there are the ones that were probably the most famous victories in the history of the event .
