Friday, July 19, 2024 London Stansted Airport is buzzing with anticipation for its busiest summer ever, as an estimated 4.3 million passengers are expected to travel through during the school holidays. Over the next six weeks, the airport is set to welcome an average of 97,000 passengers daily, heading to popular destinations such as the Spanish Costas, Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Dubai, Portugal’s Algarve, Turkey, and the Greek Islands.

Additionally, tens of thousands of international visitors will use Stansted as their gateway to explore London and the East of England. To ensure a smooth start to their journeys, passengers are advised to: In preparation for the summer rush, Stansted has introduced several new and improved amenities. The new Café Bar in the Satellite Two gate area and the first grab-and-go food and drink unit allow passengers to pick up hot snacks at any time.

The main departure lounge has been enhanced with new toilet facilities, extra water fountains, and refurbished seating areas. Outside the terminal, a high-speed electric vehicle (EV) charging hub and two new drive-thru food outlets have been added on the main road in and out of the airport.
