Ten days before Nikki Cheng Saelee-McCain went missing she texted her family to tell them she was planning to leave her of over 15 years due to alleged . The mom-of-four vanished late in the evening of May 17 and has not been seen or heard from since. Nikki, 39, was last seen visiting a relative of her husband in Redding, , 160 miles from Sacramento.

At the time Nikki texted her sister Chloe Saelee, to tell her that she was going to drive her mother-in-law's car back to her in-laws' house and that her husband's friend was going to follow to drive her home afterwards. Chloe continued to text her sister into the early hours of May 18 but she never heard from her again. Nikki was reported missing on May 21 to Shasta County Sheriff's Office by Chloe.

She had initially contacted her sister's husband, Tyler McCain to ask if he knew where Nikki was, however, he responded saying he hadn't heard from her for a few days. Nikki's car, a Chevrolet Avalanche was found on May 25 in a remote location where it had been abandoned in Tehama County. There has been no trace of Nikki.

Now Chloe and another of Nikki's sisters, Kaye Ford, have told The U.S. Sun they are convinced that something terrible has happened to Nikki.

Chloe has claimed that Nikki messaged her just 10 days before she vanished to say she was intending to start a new life and divorce Tyler. Chloe said: "She was really excited. She was looking at furniture for a new place and she was ready to leave Tyler and divorce him for goo.
