Huw Edwards has narrowly avoided a prison sentence - but his future will be far removed from the prestige and respect he once held as one of the BBC 's most recognisable newsreaders. Westminster Magistrates Court was told about Edwards' disturbing interactions with convicted paedophile Alex Williams who, between 2018 and 2021, sent the father-of-five indecent images of children - including two videos of a boy believed to be aged between seven and nine years old.
