After Martha Stewart came out with a scathing review of her new Netflix documentary , director R.J. Cutler has broken his silence and admitted he "wasn't surprised" by her complaints.

Filmmaker R.J. Cutler, who is known for directing the documentaries Billie Eilish : The World's a Little Blurry, Elton John : Never Too Late, among many others, has finally responded to Martha's negative feedback after his creative choices.

During a guest appearance on the podcast The Town , R.J. addressed the complaints including her distaste for the Netflix movie's soundtrack, making her look like a "lonely old lady," and leaving out essential aspects of her life from her story.

On the podcast episode, the director said: "Guess what? Martha saw the film and she told me what she thought about it. It wasn't surprising to me that she would've made a different film that I made. She gave me her feedback, and she was upset that I didn't make the changes she wanted to make.
