Diljit Dosanjh, known for his high-energy performances and infectious charisma, found himself in a bit of an awkward yet hilarious situation during his concert in Hyderabad on November 15. Just before taking the stage, he received a notice from the Telangana government, warning him about singing songs that allegedly promote drugs and alcohol. This notice came after a complaint from a resident of Chandigarh, following Diljit's previous performance at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium last month, where similar songs had raised concerns.
A post shared by supersingh_braham (@dil_luminatii) Rather than letting this setback dampen the mood, Diljit turned the situation into a moment of comedy and creativity. In compliance with the court order, he decided to humorously tweak the lyrics of his songs. Known for his lighthearted approach to life, Diljit laughed off the situation, engaging with his audience and making them laugh along with him.
One of the most memorable moments came when he changed the lyrics of one of his popular songs. The original line, “Tainu teri daaru ch pasand aa Lemonade” (which translates to “You like your alcohol with lemonade”) was altered to “Tenu teri coke ch pasand aa Lemonade” (meaning “You like your Coke with lemonade”), adding a playful twist to the song and keeping the atmosphere upbeat. This impromptu lyric change quickly went viral, as Diljit’s official Dil-Lumanati tour handle shared the clip with his fans.
Social media erupted with laug.
